Spring Yoga & re-wilding Eco Retreat - with Grace Moore

Improve your health, strength and vitality, calm your mind and reconnect with your true nature through yoga, meditation and time spent on a re-wilding eco retreat,  combining studio yoga  with yoga outside.

The practice of yoga is very effective in reducing stress, increasing vitality and bringing inner peace. By combining these practices with  a good dollop of wildness, spontaneity, boundlessness and passion, we acknowledge and celebrate our need for integration within the wider natural environment. Taking our practice outside provides a different perspective, and integrating  body, breath, movement, nature and meditative awareness can make a significant difference to the way we feel, both physically and mentally. These few days will give you an introduction to the healing and transformational benefits that yoga and re-wilding can bring.

  Grace Moore (Eco therapist)

’Eco/Wild Therapy points out that mainstream psychotherapy and counselling have become too identified with domestication and associated concepts like boundaries, objectivity and control; I take therapy outdoors, to encounter the other-than-human and the more-than-human - animals, birds, plants, trees, hills, rivers, winds, dreams, ghosts, spirits. Spending time ‘in nature’ can help us appreciate that we are never anywhere else, always inhabiting and encountering our own nature in all its wondrous strangeness. Then we bring the outdoors back into the therapy room, allowing it to reshape our therapeutic practice in unexpected ways.

Please note that you do not have to be young, flexible, slim or vegetarian to gain the stress-relieving benefits -  Yoga and meditation are for everyone and this retreat is open to all – men and women, young and old, complete beginners or more seasoned practitioners. Welcome the Spring with our short midweek retreat! Prices are inclusive of all (vegan) meals, accommodation and yoga, and start from £315 per person (based on sharing a room). If you prefer not to share, please just let us know!

Grace Moore

ECO THERAPIST AND YOGA INSTRUCTOR

After beginning yoga for her own wellbeing 8 years ago, Grace was drawn down a path that built the foundation of her current teaching and therapeutic practice. The practice naturally developed from a need for re-connection. Grace believes that by integrating body, breath, movement, nature and meditative awareness, we assist ourselves to hear our own truths. She finds this collective approach to yoga, therapy and well-being helps create familiarity with out inner wisdom, something that is often adrift in this fast paced society. Having trained with the Sun Power Yoga School, Grace provides an eclectic approach to yoga with Hatha Yoga for theory, Philosophy and Classical Asana, Iyengar Yoga for alignment and posturing, Sivananda Yoga for subtle mind and breath work, AstangaYoga for heat, flexibility and stamina, integrating this with the practice re-wilding and eco-therapy, Grace hopes to hope establish our true connection to our minds, bodies and environment
